About us
Southern Cross Kids' Camps is based on the camping model of Royal Family Kids' Camps, founded in the USA in 1985 and currently operating 165 camps annually.
SCKC Australia was formally registered as a national charitable company with DRG status in 2000. SCKC aims to provide a positive camping experience for child victims of abuse and neglect with the first camp held in Melbourne in 2001. There are now camps in three Australian states each year. Each camp has its own directors and the National Board of SCKC oversee the development of future camps.
